Bournemouth International Centre makes space for a more dynamic delegate experience

Bournemouth International Centre and Business Events Bournemouth will be teaming up at International Confex 2016 to present a new and exciting proposition for organisers planning events in Bournemouth.

A new range of bespoke corporate incentives and delegate experience packages, PR and marketing support, and BH Live’s own award-winning brand of fine dining, is making Bournemouth hard to beat for large-scale corporate, association and public sector events.

“Delegates are becoming more discerning and look for events that give them the best value for time spent away from their desks to attend conference, exhibition and social programmes,”

says Pat Coyne, BH Live Director of Venues.

“We can help organisers to leverage other BH Live activities and Bournemouth’s many assets to create highly competitive and attractive delegate experiences. Ongoing investment in Bournemouth’s infrastructure, hotels and entertainment, and urban and beachfront bars, restaurants and nightlife, add an important extra dimension to help event staff and visiting delegates wind down after a busy day in the venue.

“As we welcome increased interest from the corporate sector for both major events and smaller scale, one-day activities at Bournemouth International Centre, this year’s International Confex will be an important milestone in presenting our expanded range of services in the conference, exhibitions and meetings market.”

Bournemouth International Centre, the south coast’s largest venue, is operated by BH Live, a social enterprise with interests in conferencing, entertainment, arts and culture, leisure and hospitality sectors. BH Live is also a key player in the destination marketing and bureau operation, Business Events Bournemouth. Together, this creates a huge pool of resources for enriching delegate experiences inside and outside the conference venue.

Working with Business Events Bournemouth, BH Live is creating king-size banquets, street food buffets, beach picnics and barbecues, as well as bespoke delegate experiences and team building activities in the great outdoors. One example is the health and wellbeing package, originally developed for the Royal College of Nursing, giving delegates the chance to take time out and relax with invigorating beach yoga and body balancing sessions before, during and after a busy day in conference.

While Bournemouth International Centre clearly meets the demand for high profile, large corporate and association events, it also offers interesting engagement opportunities for the many innovative start-ups and niche businesses growing up in a region widely reported as the UK’s fastest growing digital economy. Numerous private and open plan areas can be branded and themed to create exciting backdrops for small seminars and exhibitions, breakout zones, fringe meetings, receptions and corporate hospitality.

“We provide the freedom, space and activities to encourage conversations to happen spontaneously, anytime, anywhere, and for people to dictate their own agenda,”

says Ben Mutton, Sales Manager.

“And this venue has more scope than any other to do that. Masses of versatile space inside, with acres of open space and the town’s major attractions on our doorstep.”

Bournemouth International Centre is running open days to give organisers a guided tour of the venue, an overnight stay in a local hotel, and the chance to explore and experience Bournemouth’s unique appeal.

The next one is scheduled for 16 June 2016.

Organisers are being invited to book or express their interest while visiting the stand.

Bournemouth International Centre is on Stand C61, with Business Events Bournemouth, at International Confex 2-3 March 2016, at London’s Olympia.
