Westover Group Motor Showcase returns

The Westover Group is bringing its Motor Showcase back to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) in 2015. Last staged in 2013, the event was such a success that Westover will be returning on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 May 2015.

This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever, with many more cars on show. Visitors will be able to see the latest models from 14 leading motor manufacturers, with 150 of the newest cars on the market coming together under one roof in the BIC’s Solent and Windsor Halls.

Some spectacular ‘halo’ cars will also make guest appearances, including pre-release and limited edition models, and there will be additional activities on the day, including competitions and even a driving experience fit for thrill-seekers.

Westover’s Motor Showcase is free of charge and will be open from 10am-5pm on Saturday 2 May and from 10am-4pm on Sunday 3 May 2015.

Visitors can just turn up on the day but anyone who pre-registers at bic.co.uk will have the opportunity to win a brand new, family-sized car in a free prize draw, simply by presenting their printed ticket at the door on the day. The winner will be announced towards the end of May.

“This promises to be a great event for everyone to enjoy over the bank holiday weekend – there will be lots to keep die-hard petrol heads happy but we’re hoping that families will pop in and have a wander around too,” says Paul Collins, Westover Group Director. “Our visitor numbers were much higher than anticipated last time, exceeding all expectations, so we’ve branched out into two halls this year. It means we can lay on everything our visitors want to see – and more besides. It will be bigger and better than any motor show previously held in Bournemouth and because it’s all under one roof, it doesn’t matter what the weather’s like.

“We’ll have such a diverse range of cars on show that there really is something for everyone. People can just dip in for 10 minutes or they can really use it to suss out the latest SUVs, supercars or rugged off-roaders, depending upon their interests and lifestyle. There’s none of the pressure of coming into the showroom and everything’s in one place at the same time, so it’s a golden opportunity. We’re really excited and have some great surprises up our sleeve, which we’re just finalising now. I’d urge people to register in advance though – it will mean access to the show is quicker and easier on the day and, of course, the ticket holder is in with a chance of winning our car!”

Peter Gunn, BH Live Chief Executive adds: “We were delighted to host the Westover Group’s last Motor Showcase which attracted in excess of 3,000 visitors and buyers. Each element of the event worked really well in our arena spaces, from the corporate breakfast networking event and public exhibition at the Bournemouth International Centre to the Gala dinner at the Bournemouth Pavilion.

Accessibility and adaptability were priorities for the Westover Group, primarily to enable customers to fully appreciate the range and quality of the vehicles on display. The overwhelming success of the 2013 event and public interest in future events means the Westover Group has now confirmed they will be returning in 2015 which is great news. The event promises to be bigger spanning two arena halls with new features zones. This will attract more visitors and promises to be another fantastic experience for customers and car enthusiasts alike.”
