Top tourism and leisure businesses to be celebrated

Bournemouth’s annual tourism awards, hosted this year at Bournemouth Pavilion, recognise the best services and attractions in the region and their contribution to the town’s economy and status as the best coastal resort, as confirmed in the UK Travel Awards 2014.

As well as eight award categories for hotel and dining experiences, there will also be trophies for Creative Concept of the Year, Great Night Out and Unsung Hero.

The winners will be announced at a formal dinner and ceremony on Friday 27 February 2015, hosted by Heart breakfast radio presenter, Rich Clarke. Around 350 people are expected to attend.

“We’re very proud to be hosting this event at Bournemouth Pavilion,” says BH Live Director of Venues, Pat Coyne. “The business community is thriving and the town is undergoing major changes in infrastructure and investment that will make it even more attractive to business visitors and holidaymakers alike. Following on from the prestigious Dorset Business Awards in November at Bournemouth International Centre, this event is another great opportunity to welcome and host the best of Bournemouth’s business innovation and creativity.”

“It’s always a pleasure to hear about any business or individual that puts something back into the town and these awards provide the perfect opportunity to formally congratulate those who have invested their hard work and enthusiasm for the benefit of Bournemouth’s tourism industry,” says Tourism Portfolio Holder, Councillor Lawrence Williams.

“These awards are a chance for us to say thank you to all of those businesses and individuals that help to make Bournemouth the cosmopolitan, lively and welcoming resort that residents and visitors know it to be,” adds Paul Clarke, Chair of the Bournemouth Accommodation and Hotel Association (BAHA).”

Tickets are on sale now and anyone wanting to book should complete and return the form online [link disabled post event].
