Quest is the leisure industry’s continuous improvement programme and rigorous assessments challenge even the very best leisure centres in the UK.
Following a recent assessment, Stokewood Leisure Centre has been awarded an ‘Excellent’ status. Only 58 leisure centres out of 600 in the UK have achieved the ‘Excellent’ score so for Stokewood Leisure Centre to be amongst the best in the UK is a significant achievement.
Stokewood’s assessment has spanned over two years, with a mystery visit and two day evaluation in the first year, then a second mystery visit and one day evaluation in the second year.
Stokewood Centre Manager, John Davies, said:
“This is a fantastic achievement which recognises all that the team does towards making Stokewood one of the best performing leisure centres in the region. We were so proud to be commended on the presentation of the centre, our professionalism, response time to enquiries, cleanliness, our varied activity programme and clear contribution towards getting more local people in the community active.”
He adds:
“Our team work extremely hard to run the centre as effectively and efficiently as possible to be as appealing and inviting as possible. By participating in Quest Plus we are continuously improving and bettering the experience for both customers and employees making Stokewood a really great place to visit.”
Quest’s operations director, Caroline Constantine, said:
“Quest Plus is a step up from the entry level Quest and as such it is a more demanding process. By meeting Quest’s high standards Stokewood Leisure Centre and BH Live has shown its commitment to providing quality facilities and service to its customers. In these tough economic times it is more important than ever that local leisure facilities can demonstrate their value, and the Quest process helps them do just that.”
