Raise your steins! Bournevaria back at BIC for sixth year

Bournevaria, Bournemouth’s annual celebration of Bavaria’s Oktoberfest, returns for a sixth year of great food, delicious drink, lively entertainment – and lots of lederhosen.

Taking place on Saturday 19 October 2024 with two sessions (12:30 until 16:30 and from 19:00 until 23:00), Bournemouth International Centre’s (BIC) Solent Hall will be transformed into a Bavarian-themed beer hall. It will be serving up a delicious selection of German beers, ciders, spirits, soft drinks and Bavarian-inspired dishes.

Traditional oompah band, The Bavarian Strollers, will perform and encourage audience participation, singing and dancing. Other attractions include a live DJ, axe throwing, and rodeo bull riding.

Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) is operated by BH Live in partnership with BCP Council. BH Live is a registered charity and social enterprise. Bournevaria is just one example of the charity’s commitment to delivering a diverse progamme of great entertainment and events for the local community to enjoy.

Other events and attractions organised by BH Live include the Cool Coast Ice Rink, the South Coast’s largest seasonal indoor ice rink and hundreds of cultural concerts, entertainment and live performances.

On behalf of Bournemouth International Centre, Steve Turner, BH Live’s Director of Venues shared;

“We can’t wait to welcome Bournevaria back to Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) for its sixth year. This popular event is enjoyed by hundreds of people every year, giving people an opportunity to embrace some seasonal fun and immerse themselves in Bavarian-style food, drinks, music and activities.”
