Musical fans invited to enjoy a great line-up of live entertainment at Fairfield Halls

This autumm, get down to Fairfield Halls’ iconic Ashcroft Theatre and enjoy a packed programme of musical-themed performance.

From Tuesday 2 September – Saturday 6 September 2025, Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show, comes to Croydon as part of a new world tour. Packed with its iconic thrilling (and naughty!) moments, this musical romp is set to lead audiences through fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.

West End and TV sensation, Lee Mead, is set to star in The Phantoms (Friday 26 September 2025) – a night celebrating one of the most beloved musicals of all time. Take a journey through some of the West End’s most iconic shows, enjoying beautiful vocal arrangements, spectacular close-part harmony, as well as stand-out solo performances.

Plus, don’t miss Fairfield Halls’ fantastic seasonal pantomime, Beauty and the Beast (Friday 12 December 2025 – Sunday 4 January 2026). Boasting a packed soundtrack with some of your favourite musical hits, whether it’s your annual festive outing or your child’s first theatre visit, Beauty and the Beast promises laughter, wonder, and gasp-out-loud spectacle at every turn. Looking forward to the New Year, Sing The Musicals 2026 (Saturday 31 January 2026) is set to deliver a fantastic celebration of some of the greatest musicals of all time. Performed by a sensational live band, characters, and a giant screen with sing-along lyrics, brighten up your winter night with songs from Mamma Mia, The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables, and many more.

Fairfield Halls is owned by Croydon Council and operated in partnership with registered charity and social enterprise BH Live.

About Fairfield Halls, Croydon

Fairfield Halls is managed BH Live, a registered charity and social enterprise, in partnership with Croydon Council.

With a long and distinguished history, Fairfield Halls sits in the heart of Croydon.

Spaces inside the venue include its 809-seat Ashcroft Theatre, the world-class 1,802-seat Concert Hall, and The Recreational a 750-capacity standing live music venue. Additional studio space is available in the adjoining Cube Studio. As well as the main auditoriums, there are additional spaces and rooms that regularly accommodate local business events, conferences, exhibitions, meetings, consumer-led events, and attractions such as family gatherings and celebrations.

Following a major refurbishment in 2019, the venue’s opening seasons included an eclectic mix of theatre, music, comedy, performance, dance and family entertainment including an annual festive pantomime.

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother opened the Fairfield Halls on Friday 2 November 1962. The inaugural concert in the Concert Hall was performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent, with renowned soloist Yehudi Menuhin also performing.

The Ashcroft Theatre was opened on 5 November by Croydon-born Dame Peggy Ashcroft, with the opening ceremony including a monologue by Sir John Betjeman called ‘Local Girl Made Good’. The first play performed was Royal Gambit, starring Dulcie Gray.

The Arnhem Foyer is named after Croydon’s twin-town of Arnhem in the Netherlands.
