Foodie heaven comes to Bournemouth with celebrity twist to delight hospitality buyers

Now in its 59th year, the Hotel & Catering Show (H&CS) comes to Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) with plenty on the menu to interest the South’s booming hospitality industry.

A regular event at the BIC, the two-day show on 17-18 March 2015 features a chef masterclass, hospitality talks, food market, mixology demos and more than 140 exhibitors. More than 2,000 hospitality buyers from around the region are expected to visit.

This show represents the very best of Southern hospitality – from artisan, speciality and mainstream food and drink suppliers, to the latest catering equipment, technology providers, furniture, interiors, tableware and hospitality services.

Pat Coyne, BH Live Director of Venues says,

“BH Live is a major banqueting provider for conferences and exhibitions, which makes this show the perfect partner in promoting the huge variety of high quality local produce and hospitality services available to hotels, restaurants and cultural destinations in Bournemouth and the rest of the South Coast,”

Richard Joslin, Show Director for H&CS adds,

“We’re really thrilled to see such great variety of exhibitors and products at the show this year, with established recognised brands exhibiting alongside new and artisan producers and suppliers to the hospitality industry. It’s a real testament to the importance the industry places on the event and the region as a major contributor to business and tourism in the UK. Participating in and attending H&CS is a win-win for the sector with key decision makers coming together under one roof to taste, select, try-out, procure and be inspired by leading chef and bartender demonstrations and expert talks across the two days. It’s certainly not an event to be missed.”

A theatre is being built on the show floor to host a series of short and sweet hospitality talks, where experts will share their recipes for business success. There’s also a Craft Guild of Chefs Skills Master Class, where big name chefs from the region will show off their key skills: James Golding from the award-winning The Pig hotels, Gary Richmond of the River Cottage Chef School in Devon, Dan Moon from Ston Easton Park Hotel near Bath in Somerset, and Russell Brown from the Michelin Star Sienna Restaurant in Dorchester.

With support from regional foodie organisations Dorset Food & Drink and Hampshire Fare, the Artisan Market and Demo Theatre bring to life the very best of local and regional produce with eye-catching displays and live cooking demonstrations. The popular Liquid Zone is also back, with mixologists and bartenders from the region using beverages and products from exhibiting companies to create stunning visual displays, demonstrations and interactive workshops.

Delegates can register free before the event at hotel-expo.co.uk – or in person at the show for a fee of £10.
