Egg-cellent Effort! Customers donate Easter Eggs to local hospices

Bringing chocolatey smiles to children’s faces, BH Live collaborated with customers over the Easter period to collect hundreds of chocolate eggs for life-limited and life-threatened children in the region.

Children at Julia’s House, Naomi House and Jacksplace have been treated to a super sweet donation this Easter thanks to the generosity of BH Live’s customers and employees.

Customers at leisure centres run by BH Live across Dorset and Hampshire were encouraged to bring in chocolate eggs in the run up to Easter.

Julia’s House, and Naomi House and Jacksplace were unanimously chosen by the team from BH Live who were keen to support the work the charities do for local children and their families. The result was a mountain of eggs being delivered over the Easter Holidays.

Amanda Valentine, Public Fundraising Assistant at Julia’s House said:

“I was so impressed by how many eggs BH Live had managed to collect. I had to play a bit of Tetris to get them all in my car, so a huge well done to everyone involved. It was such a wonderful mix of eggs that all the children were able to pick their favourite!”

Karen Coleman, from the fundraising team at Naomi House & Jacksplace added:

“The Easter Eggs were a real hit with the children, young adults and their families over the Easter period! Everyone at Naomi House & Jacksplace is incredibly grateful for the kindness and support of BH Live, their staff, and customers. All the Easter Eggs were used, either as gifts from the Easter bunny who arrived by helicopter, much to the delight of everyone; or melted down to make chocolate nests as an activity over the half term!”

This campaign is typical of BH Live’s mission as a social enterprise that strives to enrich the lives of people from the communities they serve.

Rob Cunningham, BH Live’s Head of Leisure said:

“A huge thanks to all customers and the team at BH Live who joined us in collecting an enormous amount of eggs. Julia’s House, Naomi House and Jacksplace do amazing work supporting local children and families in our community. We are delighted to have brought smiles to the children this Easter!”
