Bumper Family Fun Day at Littledown Park is back!

BH Live is excited to be planning the return of another bumper family fun day on Sunday 31 July 2022 between 11am and 4pm at Littledown Park in Bournemouth.

Full of fun and laughter – there really is something for everyone with many activities, games and displays taking place inside Littledown as well as outside in the 47 acres of parkland.

Prepare to be wowed by displays from local clubs and groups including very talented gymnastics, cheerleading and martial arts presentations.

Event sponsor, Centre VR, is one of Europe’s largest virtual reality centres and will be bringing their immersive equipment to provide FREE sessions on the day! They will have games running throughout the day including Job Simulator, Oh Shape, Mission ISS, Synth Riders and Epic Roller Coasters.

DJ Phil will be entertaining all with his fun and games on the main stage, make sure to join in to be in with a chance to win some great prizes!

Be amazed by magicians, balloon modelling, and circus performers whilst getting your hair wrapped or an airbrushed glitter tattoo. There’s stunt performances from the Urban Displays too!

The funfair is back and have fun bouncing around in this year’s new inflatable zone including bouncy castles (a Frozen castle and a teen/adult castle), bungee run, Zorb circuit, basketball shoot out and a fun run assault course.

As well as the great line up of activities, some familiar faces, mascots and well-loved characters will be dropping by to say hello. Look out for Mirabel, Hey Duggee, Peppa Pig, Batman, Peter Rabbit, and Belle and the Beast.

If you’re a dinosaur fan, come along and meet Marc the T-rex, or be fully captivated in the 360-degree dinosaur show.

There will be live music and entertainment on Littledown’s terrace as well as two licensed bars, delicious pop-up food retailers including hog roast, wood fired pizza, crepes, BBQ, Mexican street food, fish and chips, candy floss, donuts, cakes, and more.

There will be numerous stalls to catch your eye, selling arts & crafts, jewellery, local produce and much more!

said Littledown’s Centre Manager, Robbie Smith. He adds,

“This year especially we want to say a huge thank you to all those who have supported this community event and helped to make this year’s event a day with so many things to look forward to.”

Councillor Jane Kelly, Cabinet Member for Communities, Health and Leisure, said:

“Littledown Family Fun Day is a fantastic community event and I’m delighted it’s back. With bouncy castles, dinosaurs, magicians and more, there’s something for all families to enjoy.”

General admission to the family fun day is free with some activities free to participate in. Charges apply for food, refreshments, some activities and rides. Prices will be displayed by stall holders and activity providers on the day.

Littledown Centre will be open and running as usual, as well as the children’s play park, paddling pool, and Littledown’s Miniature Railway.

Visitors are advised to walk, cycle or take public transport to the event where possible. Limited car parking is available on a first come first served basis. With the exception of service and assistance animals, people are asked to please leave their pets at home.

About Littledown Centre

Littledown is operated by BH Live in partnership with BCP Council.

Set in 47 acres of parkland, Littledown has some of the finest leisure, swimming, football and gym facilities in the country.

It is ranked among the top performing leisure centres in the UK, is accredited by quality scheme QUEST and is a National Fitness Award winner for the Local Authority/Leisure Trust Gym of the Year and finalist for the Best Group Exercise Gym of the Year.

There is free customer parking for up to three hours for people attending booked activities inside the centre.
