Bournemouth looking better than ever – and it shows

This year’s International Confex, at Olympia in London, sees Bournemouth International Centre teaming up with partner Business Events Bournemouth to showcase the full extent of Bournemouth’s venue, accommodation and destination offering to businesses, associations and public sector organisations.

Bournemouth is currently the subject of a multi-million pound investment in infrastructure that will make a dramatic difference to the appeal of Bournemouth as a business destination. The newly-launched Business Events Bournemouth is pulling together all strands of the region’s venue, hotel and retail community to streamline the process of matching events and delegates to venues, hospitality, accommodation, incentives and after-show experiences.

Pat Coyne, BH Live Director of Venues says,

Bournemouth International Centre, the largest, purpose-built conference venue on the South Coast with capacity for up to 10,000 people, remains the centrepiece of the conference and exhibition offering for events with up to 4000 delegates attending.

“As economic growth and business confidence returns, we are seeing demands for flexible, customised con-ferencing in a world class centre, combined with hospitality, security and a diverse range of accommodation. We have a venue able to deliver the complete delegate experience under one roof – conference, exhibition, fine dining, awards ceremonies – with a choice of after-show arts, culture and entertainment right on the doorstep.

Bournemouth is a very exciting place to be right now, with a massive and very visible investment in transport and civic infrastructure. We’re the fifth in the UK in jobs creation and our university graduates are among the most sought after in the country. We’re creating a unique business and coastal vibe unlike any other event destination and a major draw for delegates attending major association and corporate conferences and exhibitions.”
