BH Live heads to Venus Awards final

BH Live has made it to the finals for the prestigious Company of the Year category in this year’s Venus Awards.

At the heart of the UK’s growing social economy BH Live’s mission is to get people active, promote cultural events and support the local and regional economy.

Last year, BH Live attracted more than 3.4 million visits to its venues, hosted 600 major events and generated £44 million for the regional economy. BH Live employs 1,600 people and supports around 4,500 local jobs through its business activity.

BH Live also supports sustainable activities, through its commitment to reducing energy consumption and buy locally to support home-grown suppliers. This has recently earnt them several accolades including being awarded five stars by Sustainable Food Cities, attaining AIPC Gold for Bournemouth International Centre (the only venue to reach this standard in the UK), multiple Certificates of Excellence from TripAdvisor, a Green Initiative of the Year title and the UK’s Leisure Trust Gym of the Year.

During the last three years BH Live has experienced significant business growth, increasing turnover by 44% and operating profits by 224%.
