This year’s festive pantomime at Bournemouth Pavilion, Peter Pan, has been rescheduled to 2021-22.
Due to take place from 5 December 2020 – 3 January 2021 the new dates are from 4 December 2021 – 2 January 2022.
Producer Martin Dodd, on behalf of UK Productions, said
“This would have been our 20th year of producing Bournemouth Pavilion’s Christmas Pantomime and it is with deep sadness that we are having to make the decision to postpone Peter Pan until next year. I know what a central part the pantomime plays in so many families Christmas’s, and we are always so grateful that so many turn out year after year to support this amazing theatre and our Christmas show. However in the light of the prevailing conditions we do not feel that we will be able to safely provide the high quality production that everybody has come to love and expect and we would be doing everyone a disservice if we had to scale it back. Regrettably therefore together with BH Live we have had to come to this decision. However will panto be back next year? …oh yes it will! ……and we very much look forward to seeing you all again.”
On behalf of Bournemouth Pavilion, Steve Turner, BH Live’s Divisional General Manager adds,
“We want to make sure our customers have the immersive and interactive experience they have come to know and love. So although this is hugely disappointing, we feel that given where we are right now, postponing until next year is the right thing to do for our customers, the cast and crew behind the production. We’ll be in touch with those who have already bought tickets to transfer them over to the new dates and look forward to working with UK Productions to present a truly magical festive panto at Bournemouth Pavilion in 2021.”
Ticket holders will be contacted directly to advise of the new dates and more information, including how to buy tickets is available on bhlivetickets.co.uk and bournemouthpavilion.co.uk.
