Windsor Hall

The Windsor Hall is air-conditioned and equipped to the highest standards, with powerful amplification backed up by the latest Yamaha digital console technology, plus of course the support of Bournemouth International Centre’s experienced technical team. Your event can be televised using our comprehensive broadcast facilities, including fixed camera positions and RF television distribution outlets. High level access is achieved by Europe’s largest walk-on tension wire grid, which allows production to safely hang equipment in almost any location.

Other facilities include WiFi, programmable house and stage lighting and the latest Sennheiser infra-red deaf loop system.

The balcony area offers lift access for patrons in wheelchairs and parts of the hall are also equipped with a versatile electrical layout which allows users temporary power in almost any location, along with water and waste services.

Full technical specification details are available on request.

Technical Information

Sound

Two D&B main line arrays (six Q1 and one Q7) serve the main areas with four x CI80s as front fills and Q7s as side fills and four x Q-SUBS with Qi-CSAs. Audio feeds can be routed to control rooms in other halls. A Sennheiser infra-red amplification system is available for the hearing impaired.

Lighting

Stage lighting is a basic generic lighting rig consisting of CP 61 Parcans and a selection of profiles. The system is designed to give a basic wash on stage. An MA Lighting Dot 2 controls 140 3000w dimmers. Zoned Tungsten house lighting is fully dimmable. Metal halide floodlighting is also available for exhibitions.

Stage

Staging is provided by a SICO Venue Maker portable roll-and-set system. The system can be configured to your exact requirements, subject to availability and sufficient notice. The optimum size is 18.28m x 12.90m (64ft x 40ft) at a height of between 1m and 1.6m (3.2ft to 5.24ft).

Production

Our technical team will work with you to build a bespoke, technical package to make sure your event runs to plan. We have a stock of equipment that we can use to create a full production package.

Operational Support

Our technical, stage and operations teams are here to complement your own and it’s important that they work together from the start — and that our team sees and signs off the final arrangements. Full plans and technical specifications are available as PDFs from your Event Coordinator. All rigging must be carried out by NRC certified staff.
